Biography

Ziqian is a PhD student at King’s College London, having joined the university in 2026. She holds a BSc in Psychology from University of Warwick and an MSc in Child and Adolescent Mental Health from University College London.

Research Interests

Ziqian's research interests focus on child and adolescent mental health, with particular interests in neurodevelopmental conditions, developmental psychopathology, and the factors that influence mental health trajectories across childhood and adolescence. She is especially interested in understanding why some young people with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) develop anxiety and depression, while others demonstrate resilience, and in identifying the risk and protective factors underlying these outcomes. More broadly, her work aims to contribute to a better understanding of mental health development in young people and to inform early intervention and prevention strategies.
