Biography
Yao Wang is a PhD student in the Department of Engineering at King’s College London, conducting his doctoral research under the supervision of Professor Marco Di Renzo.
Yao received his Bachelor’s degree in Underwater Acoustic Engineering from Northwestern Polytechnical University in 2019. He obtained his MSc in Wireless Communication Systems from the University of Sheffield in 2024, graduating with Distinction.
During his undergraduate studies, he focused on the design of low-frequency transducers for thickness measurement. His master’s research explored novel 6G modulation schemes, with a particular emphasis on the comparison between OFDM and OTFS systems.
Yao is currently a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Researcher within the Horizon Europe INTEGRATE Doctoral Network, based at Ranplan Wireless Network Design Ltd in Stockholm, Sweden.
