Dr Yaroslav Kainov
Research Fellow in Medical & Molecular Genetics
Dr Yaroslav Kainov is a Research Fellow at the Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics, School of Basic and Medical Biosciences, Faculty of Life Sciences and Medicine. He holds a PhD in molecular oncology. Driven by his interest in RNA processing, he pursued a postdoc with Prof. Eugene Makeyev at the Centre for Developmental Neurobiology, KCL, aiming to understand the role of post-transcriptional regulation in development.
His research focuses on understanding the evolution, functions, and molecular mechanisms of RNA processing, exploring its implications for the pathogenesis of human diseases, as well as normal physiology and development.
