I have a physics background and a keen interest in emerging technologies, such as Quantum, Nanotech, Space, and AI.
About
Dr Yiannis Tsamis is Programme Manager at the Industry Research Partnerships Office (IRPO), part of King’s Innovation Catalyst.
Prior to King’s, Yiannis led business development and grant management at the STEM faculty of the Open University. He has over 20 years of experience within both industry and academia in the UK and in Europe, including product development at a London fintech startup and technology consulting at a UK firm. He was a Marie Curie fellow at the European Southern Observatory, Europe’s flagship astronomy centre, between 2010-2012. Yiannis has a degree in Physics (Univ of Thessaloniki); a MSc in Space Science and a PhD in Astrophysics (UCL), along with a significant publication record and associated research grant capture.
