Biography

Yibo Ding is undertaking his PhD under the supervision of Dr Amelle Zair in the Department of Physics at King’s College London. Yibo's research focuses on ultrafast laser physics and nonlinear optics, with a particular interest in ultrafast pulse characterisation techniques such as FROG and SPIDER. Prior to joining King’s, Yibo obtained his Master’s degree in Optical Engineering in China, where he investigated thermal lensing effects and developed gradient-doped laser ceramics for solid-state lasers.

Research Interests

  • High Harmonic Generation
  • Ultrafast Optics
  • Spectral Metrology

Thesis title and abstract
