Biography

Yingjian began her PhD at the Department of European and International Studies at King’s College London in October 2023. She is also a member of the European Foreign Policy Research Group.

Her research explores strategic cultural change within EU member states, with a particular focus on Germany, Sweden, and Poland in the context of the Ukraine crisis. She is also developing a realist-constructivist approach to explaining cultural change related to security and defence.

Yingjian holds an LL.M. in International Relations from China Foreign Affairs University (2021-2023). Prior to this, she completed a BA in English and an LL.B. in International Politics at Shandong University, China (2016-2021).
