Biography
Dr Yongchan Jeong is a Research Associate in the Department of Chemistry, King’s College London.
He received his PhD in the department of emerging materials science at DGIST (Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology, Korea), in 2020. His PhD work focused on the scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) study of molecular chemistry. After getting his PhD, he worked as a postdoctoral research associate in the center for nanomaterials & chemical reaction at IBS (Institute for Basic Science, Korea) for two years. He mainly studied electrochemical catalysis of molecules using in-situ electrochemical STM (EC-STM) at IBS.
Research Interests
- STM break junction (STM-BJ) study on charge transport in biomolecules.
- In-situ measurement of biomolecules using EC-STM.
- Design of biomolecular electronics.
