Biography
I graduated from King’s College London in 2022 with a master's degree in Urban Informatics.
That year was one of the best experiences of my life, and the Urban Informatics programme was both interesting and very practical.
We learnt strong technical basics like Python and data mining. Those skills gave me a strong foundation, and at the same time we had applied modules such as spatial analysis and network analysis, where we used these skills on real city projects. That combination helped me learn how to turn knowledge into useful tools for solving real urban problems.
When I graduated and started looking for a job, the programme really helped me feel confident, because I had good project experience and real skills and knowledge to talk about in each interview.
I was very lucky to have Dr Yijing Li as my supervisor. She supported me both in class and in my individual project. She always encouraged me, and even after I graduated, we have kept in touch. She has been an academic mentor and also a good friend.
The campus location of our school is definitely amazing. After class, I loved going to Covent Garden with my friends for shopping and trying delicious food in Chinatown. Those moments are wonderful memories.
The knowledge and skills I gained, and the happy memories I made, continue to inspire me as I move forward in my life.
