Biography
Dr Zainab Zahran is a Senior Lecturer in Nursing Education in the Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery and Palliative Care at King’s College London. She is an experienced nurse educator with expertise in curriculum design, simulation-based learning, and quality improvement in healthcare education. She led Adult Nursing 3 module and have led major curriculum innovations that enhanced assessment design, simulation fidelity, and student engagement. She has led in co-creating assessment rubrics with students and received the Faculty’s Continuous Education Improvement Award (2024) and the Outstanding Performance Recognition. She is a deputy module lead for the Quality Improvement Dissertation for the MSc Advanced Clinical Practice programme. Dr Zohran supervises student dissertations, quality improvement projects and research projects for MSc and PhD students.
Dr Zohran's research covers a broad scope of topics focusing on nurse education, peer-assisted learning, use of Artificial Intelligence in education, workforce development and advanced nursing roles.
As Faculty Partnership Lead, Dr Zohran collaborates with NHS partners to ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based clinical education and supports initiatives that strengthen the link between academia and practice.
Dr Zohran is passionate about inclusive education, digital innovation, and the use of AI and technology-enhanced learning to improve student experience and clinical reasoning.
