
Biography
Zubair Ahmed is the Senior Research Operations Officer for the MACC Hub at King's College London, where he manages the operational and administrative delivery of research activities across the Hub's project portfolio.
Originally trained as a veterinarian, Zubair has spent the majority of his career in community development and research projects across Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the UK. This international experience has given him a strong understanding of the complexities of working in diverse and resource-constrained settings, and has shaped his approach to project management and research administration.
Over the years, Zubair has held a range of leadership and management roles, including Team Leader, Project Manager, and Research Administrator. His expertise spans the full project lifecycle – from planning and implementation to monitoring, reporting, and financial management. He is particularly skilled at ensuring research projects run smoothly and efficiently, enabling academic colleagues to focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
At the MACC Hub, Zubair works closely with consortium partners, project leads, and institutional stakeholders to support effective coordination, compliance, and communication across the Hub's activities.
