The process of influencing point of care innovation and improvement in both individual care practices and the organisation of care requires effective clinical leadership skills. Clinical leadership skills combine understanding of general leadership principles in the context of team working, management of care delivery and use of evidence-based practice for problem solving and outcomes management.
