Enhanced Practice for Low Intensity Interventions
Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience
Course overview
This course will support staff to be skilled and competent in delivering the enhanced interventions of OCD, social anxiety, panic disorder, self harm and emotion dysregulation and in setting up and delivering groups. It will also support them to have advanced skills in assessment and formulation in low intensity settings and taking a trauma informed approach to their work. These enhanced skills will ensure they are competent to supervise CWP/EMHP as they develop into roles as SWPs and can supervise a broad range of presentations in the low intensity setting.

Our expertise
King's College London is the first university to offer this course. The course will be taught by a team of children mental health experts who are already teaching on a suite of postgraduate programmes commissioned by NHS England. Some of our teachers are external and are national and international experts in these approaches and have developed manualised approaches for the low intensity interventions and actively involved in the evaluation of these. We have an expert team to deliver this programme effectively.
