Course features

This course is available at both Level 6 and Level 7. Please ensure you apply for the appropriate Level (you need to provide evidence of a BSc Hons degree to study at Level 7).

Learning outcomes

Through completing the written assessment students will have the opportunity to:

  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge and a critical understanding of the care of neonates and their families.
  • Show advanced understanding of the application of this knowledge to safe patient management and autonomous care provision.
  • Further develop Level 7 academic skills including critical thinking and academic writing.

Entry Requirements

Students must be NMC registered nurses or midwives with a minimum of one year neonatal experience. They must also be taking the QIS neonatal nursing programme.
