Course content
- The setup of clinical research site and protocol implementation
- The role of technology in facilitating more efficient and patient-centric clinical trials
- The application of quality management principles in clinical research practice
- Common issues in drug development and how to avoid them
- Careers in drug development
Learning outcomes
By the end of this module students will be able to:
- Reflect on how a project team uses good management practices
- Discuss how they have reconciled their experience with their understanding prior to the course and to the theory of drug development
- Discuss how their experience has helped them to evaluate their future career paths and career goals

Entry Requirements
Minimum entry requirements are either a medical degree (such as an MBBS) or a 2:1 first degree in pharmacy, pharmacology, biology, biochemistry, chemistry or related subject. The course will suit individuals seeking to develop an understanding of the practical management of clinical trials e.g. pharmaceutical physicians, scientists in R&D and medical affairs, and regulatory affairs personnel.
