The broad theme of our group is cardio-immunology, focusing on the role of myeloid cells in the response to cardiac injury. We aim to identify and target novel signalling pathways and transcriptional regulators of inflammation that we can translate to the bedside. We undertake basic and clinical studies using a broad range of experimental approaches and inter-disciplinary collaboration with the ultimate goal of improving outcomes for patients with cardiovascular disease.
