The Cancer Biology Programme is aimed at understanding fundamental mechanisms of cancer cells and their microenvironment with the goal of applying this knowledge to patient care by identifying new therapeutic targets and additional patient stratification methods.  The programme brings together cancer biology researchers from the Comprehensive Cancer Centre, and members of other Departments and KHP clinicians who have an interest in cancer biology and so are affiliated with this programme. The researchers within the Cancer Biology Programme have a wide breath of interests including cell migration, factors influencing cytoskeletal organisation and cell division, cellular control networks, the cancer microenvironment, glycobiology and the biology of stem cells.
