AMID
The research programme is closely linked to post-graduate dental education. Professor Banerjee has developed and run a distance-learning (blended learning) 3 year masters course in Advanced Minimum Intervention Dentistry (AMID) at King's.
This course enables dental practitioners and dental therapists the opportunity to learn about minimum intervention oral healthcare and changing their delivery of care to a more patient-focused, team-delivered approach emphasising the prevention of disease and maintenance of oral health. It allows practice-based clinicians to carry our clinical research projects (often dental industry funded), to form a practice-based clinical research network nationally and internationally.
