Ecofeminism and Reparative Histories

Through the project ‘Ecofeminism and Reparative Histories’, we seek to enhance areas of research and practice relating to the position of communities in danger of losing voice, through the long-term impact of coloniality. Gaël Le Cornec’s eco-feminist performative approach works with reparative narratives of women whose erasure of voice and agency relates to loss of land. Working with academics from the Department of Languages, Literature and Cultures, the Activist-in-Residence will exchange methods and practices of archival research and engagement with endangered communities and languages. Through seminars, workshops and the development of Gaël Le Cornec’s play Amazons, we will explore integrated forms of research and how to bring these into the classroom.
