The London Political Economy Network (LPEN) aims to foster cross-university exchange and networking between London-based political economy research centres. It provides a forum where researchers present ongoing research, discuss, build collaborations, and identify areas for future research. The network jointly organises annual meetings at the participating institutions on a rotating basis. Participating members can showcase their research and benefit from the feedback of an expert audience. Thereby, we aim to strengthen London’s political economy research community and foster scholarly collaboration.

Network to host first PhD workshop
The workshop, taking place virtually on 18 June, will offer PhD students the opportunity to present a draft chapter from their dissertations and receive feedback from experienced researchers and other PhD students.

Inaugural LPEN workshop
Hosted by the Department of European and Internatonal Studies at King's, our first workshop brought together researchers from eight London-based political economy research centres. It launched the LPEN as a regular forum to present and comment on research-in-progress. The workshop’s theme addressed recent issues in financialized capitalism from inequality and financial instability in the Global North to hegemonic cycles and financialized climate policies in the Global South.
