The group’s research focus is to understand the reasons for the development of insulin resistance, raised serum lipids and bile acids with advancing gestation in normal pregnancy and to investigate the aetiology, materno-fetal outcomes and treatment of maternal metabolic disorders; intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy, gestational diabetes mellitus and hyperemesis gravidarum.
