The Morris Complex Disease Genetics Group develops statistical genetics methods and applies large-scale genomic data to understand why common diseases share genetic risk. Our research focuses on immune-mediated diseases, particularly systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), and how their genetic architecture relates to infection susceptibility and other genetically correlated diseases, including psoriasis and neuropsychiatric disorders. By identifying shared genetic pathways across diseases, we aim to improve understanding of disease biology and identify new therapeutic opportunities.
