PREDICT
To create a new dataset from linkage between UK Rare Renal Disease Registry and UK Renal Registry and Hospital Episode Statistics and Maternity Services Dataset to identify pregnant women with kidney disease which will contribute to development of a predictive tool to estimate the degree of pregnancy-associated progression and adverse pregnancy outcomes in women with CKD including those with rare renal diseases.
Methods
UK RR and RaDaR Data Extraction
Trials Design
Data linkage study
Setting: RaDaR, UKRR and Hospital Episode Statistics (HES) and Maternity Services Data Set (MSDS)
Target Population: Women with CKD with a previous pregnancy
Inclusion Criteria:
- Consent to Rare Renal Disease Registry and or UK Renal Registry Participant;
And/or ICD-10 renal code recorded in HES
- Female
Exclusion criteria:
- Men
- No pregnancy recorded with HES or MSDS
Primary outcome:
- A reduction in renal function to an eGFR below 30mls/min/1.73m2 between 6 weeks and 12 months post-delivery.
Secondary outcomes:
- Renal: undergoing renal replacement therapy (dialysis or transplant) within 12 months of delivery, the absolute reduction in renal function between pre- and post-pregnancy, and the percentage reduction in renal function between pre- and post-pregnancy.
- Maternal: Maternal death, pregnancy-induced hypertension, induction of labour, Caesarean section and admission to high dependency / intensive care
- Neonatal/Fetal: Live birth, still birth (>24 weeks), fetal loss (≤24 weeks), neonatal death, gestation at delivery (pre-term births), birthweight, length and head circumference and admission to neonatal intensive care (NICU).
