The political theory group covers many topics and approaches, and affirms the central importance of political economy to political theory. To this end, we seek not only to make economic questions of direct relevance to our political theoretic research, but to work closely with DPE colleagues in neighbouring subfields so as to benefit from the wide plurality of approaches and insights present in the Department.

Our work includes normative theory, contemporary political philosophy, history of political thought, political theory of markets, comparative political theory, and research into methodological approaches.
