The Religious and Ethnic Diversity in China and Asia Research Unit at King’s College London is based in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies. REDCARU is the first international twinned unit to have been founded with a particular focus on the study of religion and ethnicity across Asia. It is an interdisciplinary unit with branches at King’s College London, Yunnan Normal University, and Yunnan Minzu University, China.
REDCARU provides a forum for academics, postdoctoral researchers, and students from around the world with an interest in religious and ethnic life among peoples in Asia and overseas Asians. It has a broad programme of diverse research interests. Its director is Dr. Katherine Swancutt.
