The group was formed in 2012 and works across Guy’s and St Thomas Trust and King's, covering respiratory and critical care areas including COPD, ILD, pleural, asthma, respiratory muscle, sleep, breathlessness, ventilation and cough.

The group helps researchers at all stages, including:

• Grant application
• Developing research idea/question
• Reviewing documentation for applications (grant, REC, HRA)
• Supporting studies where recruitment is challenging
• PPI/E panel members are also invited to be on grant applications; co-investigators and TMC groups for some studies

The group currently meet four times a year with ad hoc support available throughout.

We request that those presenting return to the group to give updates – this can be for grant process or the final results of the study

As the group is not directly funded we encourage researchers to reimburse patients for their time where possible.
