The Viral Hepatitis group is led by Kosh Agarwal and Ivana Carey.
The ILS is aligned with King’s College Hospital viral hepatitis service, the largest specialist treatment centre for the condition in the UK. Research in this area is focused on the immunopathogenesis of hepatitis B virus and hepatitis B and hepatitis D virus co-infection and on the development of novel biomarkers of hepatitis B infection to predict disease progression and treatment response.
