About the SaIL centres

The King's Simulation and Interactive Learning Centres (SaIL) provide state of the art training facilities for undergraduate Medical, Nursing, Midwifery, Physiotherapy, Nutrition and Dental students, as well as providing post-graduate skills sessions for Nursing, and Pharmacy students. We deliver innovative interactive teaching in a world-class learning environment to support students in their journey to becoming highly-skilled medical professionals. Through a mixture of clinical skills teaching and hi-fidelity simulation, students to learn and develop the techniques that will improve patient safety across the National Health Service (NHS) in a risk-free teaching environment. Students learn skills such as measuring observations, patient assessments and diagnostic skills and technical skills such as cannulation, suturing and injection technique, as well as communication skills and human factors in healthcare. We are based at two sites, the Weston Education Centre at Denmark Hill Campus, and the Chantler Simulated and Interactive Learning centre at Shepherd's House, Guys' Campus.
