Accessibility statement for Timegate

This accessibility statement applies to the Timegate Employee Portal. The Timegate Employee portal is a 3rd party tool allowing all users to request leave, view their working diary, and be linked through to various items of interest (e.g., employee calendar, overtime requests).

Using the website

Usability is important so we have tried to streamline the information as best as possible for ease of navigation. This means using tiles for navigation, visual cues and ease of access to the system that works on both mobile and web-based browsers. The system itself is visually simple with basic functions deployed as to not bloat with unnecessary tools and cause confusion.

We want as many people as possible to be able to use, read and understand the content of the Timegate Employee Portal.

This means that you should be able to:

  • zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen

  • navigate the website using just a keyboard

  • navigate the website using speech recognition software

  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

How accessible this website is

We know some parts of Timegate Employee Portal are not fully accessible:

  • Built in language changes do not form a part of the system so cannot be manipulated within the app and/or browser. We are investigating ways to offer this option as we have various users who would benefit from various language options.

  • Text to speech function again does not exist within the system however 3rd party plug ins may be a solution to this.

  • Built in text scaling is also not something that can be offered by the system due to scaling difficulties when using the tile layout we have deployed. This does mean visually impaired people may struggle with the app version of the system meaning the browser may be more applicable.
