Renmin University of China (RUC or just Renmin), also known as the People's University of China, is one of the top universities in China. Across its 21 Schools, Renmin has a distinct focus on humanities and social sciences, with particular strengths in Law. As a comprehensive research-orientated university, Renmin is playing an active role in investigations into major issues in politics, economics, and social studies. Renmin University is a platform for academic and cultural exchanges between China and the world which formed the basis of a partnership with King’s, which was established in 2008 with the purpose of developing academic collaborations and facilitating staff and student exchanges. At present, the majority of modules at Renmin are taught in Mandarin. However, the Renmin International Summer School programme is taught in English.

This programme will be advertised, but it is not guaranteed. We expect to be able to offer places on the Renmin University of China summer programme, this will be confirmed in due course. Students can still apply for the programme, but should take this into consideration when completing their application. Students can indicate in their application if they want to be considered for a place on the Renmin University of China summer programme.
