As part of the iSummerMX programme, students will have the opportunity to live for weeks on four different campuses. This will give them the chance to learn about different parts of the country without ceasing their studies. Students can also choose to do the regular summer programme on a single campus. The Tecnológico de Monterrey Summer School is open to Undergraduate, Postgraduate Taught and Postgraduate Research students.

Courses offered

The Tecnológico de Monterrey Summer School offer two programmes and each has a different offering. You can choose from the Spanish as a Second Language + Mexican Culture Program, Business in Mexico, or the iSummerMx 2026 (itinerant program). Programme dates

The Tecnológico de Monterrey Summer School dates are as follows: Spanish as a Second Language + Mexican Culture AND Business in Mexico: Monday 29th June 2026 - Friday 24th July 2026 Recommend arrival day: Wednesday 24th June 2026 Classes begin: Monday 29th June 2026 Classes end: Friday 24th July 2026 iSummerMx 2025 (itinerant program): Monday 29th June 2026 - Friday 24th July 2026 Recommend arrival day: Sunday 28th June 2026 Classes begin: Monday 29th June 2026 Classes end: Saturday 25th July 2026* *Note. Classes for the iSummerMx program conclude on Friday 24th July 2026; however, the program's accommodation check out date is Saturday 25th July 2026.

Application deadlines

If you wish to apply for a place at Tecnológico de Monterrey Summer School, you will need to submit your Global Summer Exchange application by 11:59pm on Monday 16th February 2026. If your application is successful, you will be required to apply directly to Tec by Friday 22nd May 2026.

What are the costs?

There are no additional fees associated with the Spanish as a Second Language + Mexican Culture and Business in Mexico programs, however, students are required to cover their own housing, transportation and personal expenses. The cost to attend the iSummerMx 2026 (itinerant program) is: 2,450 USD This fee includes the following: Accommodation, Transportation for all program activities, including pick up on official arrival day and transfer from city to city, Breakfast six days of the week, Tickets to all visits and events of the program, Student Arrival Kit and Health Insurance. More information on the fees can be found on Tec's website and students should take note of the fees quoted for "Exchange student". Please check the fact sheet linked in the Global Summer Exchange 2026 - Website Documents Folder Students who are successful in their application will receive a tuition fee waiver, but will be responsible for all other costs, including, flights, accommodation, visas, health/medical insurance (if compulsory), living expenses and those listed on this webpage. Students should take into consideration that some costs for these services may already be incorporated into the cost of the program, such as accommodation and insurance.

Accommodation

On-campus accommodation is provided for students who attend the iSummerMx program, and the cost of accommodation has been included in the fees associated with this programme. Students who opt for the Spanish + Mexican Culture and Business in Mexico programs, are required to source their own housing and can opt for one of the options below: 🏡 Host Family Program If you are looking for a cultural immersion experience, the Host Family Program is an excellent option. Students are matched with a Mexican family, allowing them to experience local customs, gastronomy, and lifestyle firsthand. The program includes: a fully furnished private room, three meals a day, basic services (water, electricity, internet), and laundry service. This program is ideal for those who want to practice Spanish, learn about Mexican culture, and live in a warm, family-oriented environment. 🏠 Independent Housing (Off-Campus) If you prefer to live independently, we have a website with housing options where TEC community members list rooms, apartments, and houses for rent. Important details to consider: Listings are updated every semester, so availability may vary. Communication and negotiation with landlords are the responsibility of the students. You can also find options in the Facebook groups: Comunidad Campus Querétaro and Mercado de Depas TEC. 🏢 On-Campus Residences If you prefer a more student-focused environment, we offer a brand-new Residence Hall on campus, designed to accommodate both national and international students. You can choose between a private or shared room, with access to study rooms, recreational areas, and common spaces with 24/7 security and on-site assistance.
