The Université Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense, also known as Paris X or Paris, Nanterre is located 36 minutes north west of central Paris. Aged 50 years 'young' in 2014, the institution started life through public agendas to increase residential space within the Parisian locality and widen access to university during the 1960s. It is now one of the most prestigious French universities, mainly in the areas of law, humanities, political science, social sciences, and economics.
