About the Institution
Paris Sorbonne University (Paris IV) is located in the heart of the Latin quarter in Paris. It was established in 1971, following the division of the University of Paris (est. 1253). To a large extent, the University of Paris Sorbonne was the inheritor of the former University of Paris Arts and Sciences Faculties. Today, Paris Sorbonne boasts some 23,324 students, 13,900 of whom are undergraduates, 6,916 postgraduates and 2,508 Doctoral students. This exchange is open to students from the departments of French, Comparative Literature and History only.
