Course essentials

The course is delivered in blocks of teaching. This gives you the chance to study a topic in depth before moving on to the next module – and you won’t be overwhelmed with too many assignments at once.

The curriculum is ideal for:

  • Nurses, doctors or other healthcare professionals aiming to advance their careers.
  • Business or science graduates with experience or interest in health and care.
  • Recent undergraduates seeking to enter healthcare management.

PGDip and PGCert students can later top up to the full MSc by completing additional modules.

Course Content

We’ll make sure you understand traditional and innovative healthcare models. And we’ll help you gain advanced knowledge, practical skills and adaptive strategies to prepare for different roles in health and social care. 

You’ll take compulsory modules in Healthcare Leadership and Health Systems Management in the Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery and Palliative Care, and Applied Leadership and Management and Healthcare Finance modules in the King's Business School. This combination demonstrates both your business acumen and healthcare knowledge to employers. 

You can also choose from a range of optional modules covering topics like patient safety, digital health and sustainability. And you can make use of the world-leading King's Better Health and Care Hub for research as you prepare your dissertation.
