Overview

If you are an experienced or aspiring healthcare leader, our Healthcare Management course will support your next steps in your professional development to apply for leadership and management roles across the health and care sectors.

Healthcare is an increasingly complex sector, with managers facing multiple challenges which are difficult to solve: workforce retention, financial sustainability, patient safety and quality of care, regulatory compliance to name but just a few.

We’ll make sure you understand traditional and innovative healthcare delivery models, and you’ll get to cultivate your creative thinking in problem-solving and develop entrepreneurial skills you will need to lead healthcare organisations to success.

Our MSc programme is mapped by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) at the level of a CMI Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership Practice (level 7) award. This is a prestigious recognition, showcasing managers who complete the course have exceptional management and leadership skills.

Graduates are expected to be able to use the Chartered Manager (‘CMgr’) designation after their name, and you’ll be awarded this status automatically upon completion. We’ll also give you CMI membership as a 'foundation' Chartered Manager during your studies, which allows you to access the CMI resources and benefits available to members. Accreditation is subject to final approval from the CMI, and confirmation of accreditation will be published on the prospectus page once this is approved.
