Completing a degree in Advanced Software Engineering opens the door to a wide range of job opportunities including in banking, fintech, consultancy, major software houses, and in tech, with many of our students founding their own start-ups.
Our graduates regularly pursue roles as senior software engineers, software developers, analysts, and algorithms engineers for companies including Google, Société Générale, ThoughtWorks technology consultancy, and RatePower renewable energy.
The Careers Service and the Department of Informatics run a careers programme for Informatics students, which includes resources such as a skills framework, and tailored panel events with alumni and employers, alongside the extensive central careers provision.
