One

Approximately 130 hours of lectures, 118 hours of workshops/study days/supervised glass slides teaching as well as 240 hours of supervised clinical teaching and exposure to patients. You will also receive 3 hours of feedback from mock exams.

1,309 hours of independent study such as preparing for scheduled sessions, follow-up work, wider reading, and completion of your dissertation.


Typically, one credit equates to 10 hours of work.

Assessment

  • Oral examinations

Your performance will be assessed through written and oral examinations, and a practical histology examination. Forms of assessment may typically include essays, oral presentations and OSCEs. We will use a delivery method that will ensure students have a rich, exciting experience from the start. Face to face teaching will be complemented and supported with innovative technology so that students also experience elements of digital learning and assessment. This course is primarily taught at Guy’s Hospital, and St Thomas’ Hospital and the King’s College London Guy’s Campus.
