Typically, one credit equates to 10 hours of work.

Project work 50 hours per module.

Self-study time 40 hours per module.

Contact time is based on 35 academic weeks.

Location

This course is primarily taught at the King’s College London Denmark Hill Campus. All teaching will take place in person on Thursdays and Fridays and will either be in person or remotely on Teams. Weekly supervision will either be in person or provided remotely on Teams.

Students undertake clinical practice in their own NHS Talking Therapies workplaces. Students are not required to travel to any other site as part of the programme.

The primary method of assessment for this course is written coursework, which is a combination of written and practice-based assessment.

Students are required to take:

  • Fundamentals of CBT: Engagement, assessment, formulation and supervised practice (30 credits)
  • CBT for Anxiety Disorders: Interventions and supervised practice (30 credits)
  • CBT for Depression: Intervention and supervised practice (30 credits)
  • Accreditation Portfolio: Practice portfolio and supervised practice (30 credits)
