Digital Humanities career prospects
Many of our students join the MA in Digital Humanities from humanities or arts backgrounds, and the programme is designed to give them the technical and analytical skills needed to move confidently into technology oriented roles. By combining computational training with critical humanistic insight, the degree prepares graduates to work effectively in digital environments, collaborate with technical teams, and bridge the gap between cultural expertise and digital innovation.
Graduates of this Digital Humanities master’s are well-placed to pursue various careers. Some have worked in cultural heritage industries, publishing houses, digital media companies, and other digital strategy positions in London and overseas. Other Digital Humanities MA graduates have continued their careers in the academic and research sector, with some even pursuing PhDs. Digital Humanities MA graduate roles include:
- Program Manager at Amazon
- Consultant at Salesforce + Vlocity

Based on the solid skill set I acquired, I became much more confident in applying for jobs in the tech sector. The programme also sparked lots of interest in me for working on AI, so I was fortunate to start at Amazon Alexa.

The course expanded my knowledge of the effects of living in a digital era and my understanding of how to leverage digitisation in business, research, and everyday life. This knowledge, combined with the skill of programming, I was able to enter the job market with skills that I didn’t have before and became a consultant for a SaaS company.
