Strand Campus
Strand Campus feels like the heart of London—historic yet buzzing with energy. Nestled by the Thames, it offers world-class academics, vibrant student life, and endless inspiration from the city’s culture and diversity.

Please note the course details apply to 2025 entry. Details for 2026 entry for our postgraduate courses will be published from mid-October 2025. To gain the Economics for Competition Law MA, students must first complete the Economics for Competition Law Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) modules totalling 120 credits at merit level or above. Students then take a dissertation module (60 credits) over a further year to achieve the MA. Visit the Economics for Competition Law Postgraduate Diploma course page
Our Economics for Competition Law course is suitable for practising lawyers, regulators, academics and those with a specific need for knowledge of Economics for Competition Law. On completion of the course, you will have a firm understanding of the increasingly important role that economics plays in competition law and an understanding of when economic analysis is needed for a particular competition law case. Our course has been specifically designed for economists and lawyers in private practice, in- house legal advisers and representatives from the national competition authorities.
This MA year of the course is distance learning.

This course was highly recommended by regulatory colleagues and I would also recommend it to others. It is a perfect fit for those wanting to further their education at a reputable university while working full-time. As a distance learning student, I found the online content and weekend seminars to be helpful in providing interaction with the instructors and fellow students.

You will undertake a research project based on the teaching and learning completed in your PGDip course.
We encourage you to apply as early as possible so that there is sufficient time for your application to be assessed. We may need to request further information from you during the application process.
