A recognised undergraduate dental qualification.
Programme specific requirements
A dental qualification acceptable to King's with employment as a dentist in a dental practice, dental school, hospital, or community dental services environment.
Access to facilities and equipment - students are required to have:

Access to adequate clinical facilities and to patients requiring treatment relevant to the subject area.

Approved photography equipment, as part of the monitoring process (advice on this will be given in the first face-to-face teaching block).
Other requirements:
- Headset, microphone and webcam
- High quality internet connection for tutorials with minimum speeds of 2Mbps down and 3Mbps up

Selection Process
Our first application deadline is 1 November 2025 (23:59 UK time). The final application deadline for this programme is 21 November 2025 (23:59 UK time).
After the first application deadline:
- if the programme is not yet full, we will continue to accept applications until all available places are filled, up to the final application deadline above
- if the programme becomes full before the final application deadline stated above, we will close the programme to further applications

A non – refundable application fee of £85 applies.
Completed applications (consisting of an online application form, one reference, transcripts of previous qualifications and evidence of English Language score where required) will be considered on a first-come first-served basis according to the date of completion of the application. Early applications are strongly advised.
Candidates who are required to provide evidence of English Language competence at Band D level (for example IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with a minimum of 6.0 in each skill) should ensure that they can provide this by the deadline in their offer letter.

The initial decision will be to either confirm the offer of a place without an interview, invite you for an interview, or make the application unsuccessful. We may run a waiting list with competitive applications placed on hold if there are more applications than spaces available.
You should expect to receive this initial decision within six weeks of the date of submission of the completed application, although this may be slightly longer at peak periods near to the closing date. Applicants who are offered a place will have to provide original documentary evidence of their previous qualifications, and pay a non-refundable deposit, before access to the online virtual learning environment will be given at the start of your course.
Personal statement and supporting information
You will be asked to submit the following documents in order for your application to be considered:

A personal statement is required. This can be entered directly into the online application form (maximum 4,000 characters) or uploaded as an attachment to the online application form (maximum 2 pages). You should describe how the degree will fit into your career plan and demonstrate a focused interest in the programme. You should also confirm that you have read and can comply with the computing specification required to commence the programme, which can be viewed in the entry requirements section, and provide details of your access to: adequate clinical facilities and an appropriate selection of patients; approved video equipment, as part of the monitoring process (advice on this will be given in the first intensive face-to-face course); an appropriate dental library. |
