UK applicants
Standard requirements
A minimum high 2:1 undergraduate Bachelor’s (honours) degree with a final mark of at least 65% or above
If you have a lower degree classification, or a degree in an unrelated subject, your application may be considered if you can demonstrate significant relevant work experience, or offer a related graduate qualification (such as a Masters or PGDip).
Programme specific requirements
UK candidates must have a high 2:1 non-Law undergraduate degree with a final mark of at least 65% as this programme is designed for those without formal studies in Law, such as an LLB, GDP, PGDL or some Master's programmes in Legal Practice. All other degree subject areas may be suitable.
In order to meet the academic entry requirements for this programme you should have a minimum high 2:1 undergraduate degree with a final mark of at least 65% or above in the UK marking scheme. If you are still studying you should be achieving an average of at least 65% or above in the UK marking scheme.
Overseas candidates must have a non-law undergraduate degree with equivalence to a high UK 2:1. with a final mark of the equivalent to at least 65% or above. Undergraduate Law degrees, the content of which does not include the study of English and Welsh law, may also be suitable with the same grade requirements.

Selection Process
Applications must be made online using King’s online application portal apply.kcl.ac.uk and a non-refundable application fee of £85 applies.
We run a rolling admissions system. During February and March and over holiday periods, applications may take longer to process.
Personal statement and supporting information
You will be asked to submit the following documents in order for your application to be considered:

In addition to the documentary requirements listed above, we also reserve the right to interview applicants. If you are contacted and asked to attend an interview, the process will take place online, comprise a series of short questions and will last for approximately 15 minutes.
Application closing date guidance
Applications for our Law and Professional Practice programme will be considered in several recruitment rounds:
- Applications that are complete (including all necessary documentation and references) by 31 January 2026 will be considered in the first round.
- Applications that are complete (including all necessary documentation and references) by 2 April 2026 will be considered in the second round.
- Any applications incomplete as of 2 April or received after this date will be reviewed in the final round if places remain.
The final application deadlines for this programme are:
- Overseas (international) fee status: 25 July 2026 (23:59 UK time)
- Home fee status: 25 August 2026 (23:59 UK time)
After the first two recruitment rounds:
- if the programme is not yet full, we will continue to accept applications until all available places are filled up to the final application deadlines above
- if the programme becomes full before the final application deadlines stated above, we will close the programme to further applications
Please note, you will not be eligible for an application fee refund if you apply after the first application deadline, and we are unable to process further offers because places are filled and we close the course before the final application deadline.
