Modules

Courses are divided into modules. You will normally take modules totaling 180 credits. 

Required Modules

You are required to take: 

  • Organisations & Emerging Technologies (15 credits)
  • Work Practice and Technology (15 credits)
  • Design and Responsible Innovation (15 credits)
  • Research Methods for Management and Technological Change (15 credits)
  • Change Management and New Technologies (15 credits)
  • Design Sprint (15 credits)
  • Management Research Project (60 credits)

Optional Modules

In addition, students take 30 credits from a range of optional modules which may include: 

  • Marketing, Interaction and Technology (15 credits)
  • Leadership and Technology (15 credits)
  • Risk and Crisis Management (15 credits)
  • Business Process Management with Data Visualisation (15 credits)
  • Data Analytics (15 credits)

Teaching methods - what to expect

Lectures
Tutorials

The total contact time for each 15-credit taught module is typically 20-30 hours. These sessions will include lectures, workshops, group tutorials, case discussions, and presentations, with some variation across modules. Each 15-credit taught module also has approximately 120-130 hours of self-guided learning time. 

Dissertation module are done in seminars and one-to-one supervision. Dedicating approximately 600 hours of self-study and project work.

We will use a delivery method that will ensure students have a rich, exciting experience from the start. Face to face teaching and project-based learning will be complemented and supported with innovative technology so that students also experience elements of digital learning and assessment.

Your performance will be assessed through a combination of coursework and written/practical examinations. Forms of assessment may typically include coursework and individual or group projects and presentations.
