Teaching methods - what to expect
We will give you approximately 250 hours of contact, typically through lectures, interactive seminars, and feedback on assignments from academics who are leaders in the field of nutrition.
We will expect you to undertake 1,000 hours of self-study along with 400 hours of project work. Typically, one credit equates to 10 hours of work.
Assessment

Your performance will be assessed through a combination of coursework and written/practical examinations. Forms of assessment may typically include coursework and examinations. Coursework contributes approximately 60% and examinations approximately 40% to your final mark. Course accreditation The course is accredited by The Association for Nutrition, which means graduates may register as associate nutritionists on the UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists, a body which aims to regulate the professional practice of nutrition.

Year 1 - Required Modules
You are required to take:
- Clinical Nutrition (Masters) (15 credits)
- Public Health Nutrition (45 credits)
- Principles of Nutrition (Masters) (45 credits)
- Nutrition Research Skills (15 credits)
- MSc Nutrition Project (60 credits)
Year 1 - Optional Modules
There are no optional modules for Year 1.
