Career Prospects

Robotics is a fast-growing area, with major cross-sector companies investing in robotic technologies, including in retail, tech, automotive and aerospace, healthcare, renewable energy, and defence and security.

Our graduates are highly employable, going on to pursue successful careers in industry and research, working as automation engineers, AI engineers, mechanical and mechatronics engineers, software developers and consultants and researchers in companies such as Ocado, Deloitte, Experian, Alstom, Norman Fosters and Cummins Inc.

A number of our students also go on to further study in the Department of Engineering, and world-leading universities including Imperial, Oxford, and Cambridge.

The Careers Service run tailored sessions for students in the Department of Engineering, including a careers programme of skills sessions, alumni job panels and visits from top employers.
