UK applicants
Standard requirements
A minimum high 2:1 undergraduate Bachelor’s (honours) degree with a final mark of at least 65% or above
If you have a lower degree classification, or a degree in an unrelated subject, your application may be considered if you can demonstrate significant relevant work experience, or offer a related graduate qualification (such as a Masters or PGDip).
Programme specific requirements
First class or high 2:1 BSc (honours) degree or overseas equivalent in biomolecular or physical sciences.
MBBS students can be admitted at any time following the third year of their programme. Post-year three: entry is based on year three performance plus evidence of knowledge of the basic elements of translational research topics. Advanced years (four to five): students must complete their current year of study. External students need to obtain permission from their own medical school and provide evidence of their exam performance in the pre-clinical examinations.

Selection Process
Applications must be made online using King's Apply, the Admissions Portal. A non-refundable application fee of £85 applies.

You will be asked to submit the following documents in order for your application to be considered:

A personal statement is required. This can be entered directly into the online application form (maximum 4,000 characters) or uploaded as an attachment to the online application form (maximum 2 pages). Please detail your research experience and any previous laboratory experience. Include your reason for applying and career aims. MBBS students should provide a statement demonstrating knowledge of basic elements of translational research topics such as epidemiology, clinical biostatistics and clinical pharmacology (relating to drug discovery). |
