Here, your awarding institution or test provided will verify your qualification, and confirmation will be shared with both you and King’s.
You will be contacted via King’s Apply regarding next steps in your application once your verified qualifications have been reviewed.
Each institution has its own verification procedures; the information and documents required to complete a verification will be listed when you select the relevant institution on your Qualification Check portal.
If you are required to verify an English language proficiency test, the results will be verified with the relevant test provider. Please see your offer letter for full instructions.

As part of your application to King’s College London, the university needs to confirm that the qualifications you have declared are genuine and awarded as stated.
King’s uses Qualification Check to verify your results directly with your awarding institution. This helps protect you and other applicants, supports fair admissions decisions, and is often required for regulatory purposes.
There is no cost to you for completing this process, and your information is handled securely and shared with King’s for the purposes of assessing your application.

Please note that your "Unique ID Number" is your King’s Student Number which can be found on the Applicant Overview page of your King’s Apply account, and on the top of your offer letter.
Once completed, you will then need to choose the level of qualification you need to verify. Select "Education" if you are applying for a postgraduate course, and "High School" for undergraduate.
You will then be instructed to type the name of the institution that awarded your qualification (e.g. the institution that issued your qualification). As you type a list of institutions will appear at the bottom. Click on the name of the institution where you studied.
You must enter your individual details (name and date of birth) as they appear on your qualification. You must then enter the qualification details as instructed on the portal.
Scroll down to the Documents section. Below the 'Institute Consent For' click where it says "Download & Sign". This will open a consent form document. Please complete and sign the form then upload by clicking on the "Upload" button below where it says Institute Consent Form. E-signature is accepted. If the institution requires additional documentation for the verification, please upload a PDF version to the portal to be submitted.
A screen will pop-up asking you to confirm whether you have submitted all relevant qualifications to be verified. If you have, click on the "Yes, submit & complete application" button. There is no cost for this.
Qualification Check will verify your qualification directly with the awarding institution. Please be patient as this can take time as they check their records.
Once your qualification has been verified you will receive an email to notify you. Your verification result will be automatically shared with King’s College London, who will contact you via the King’s Apply portal with the next steps.

To submit a verification request, you must first create an online account at kcl.qualificationcheck.com. Once you have completed the two-step registration process, you will have access to your online account.
Search for the name of the institution at which you obtained your qualification(s) and follow the steps to enter the required information for submission of a verification request. Your details will then be sent to the institution at which you studied to be authenticated by the appropriate department.
If you are unable to find your institution in the system, please refine your search by adding filters such as the country in which it is located. The search bar uses key words to locate the institution, so perhaps try entering different parts of the university name to find it e.g. for King’s College London, you may search for “King’s” or "London". If you are still unable to find your institution, please email the Qualification Check team through the application support email address.
We understand that applications are urgent and make every effort to expedite processes as quickly as we can. Continue to check the online platform for updates on your verifications to track its progress. If you have registered using the link provided by King’s, the initial verification submission(s) will be automatically and permanently shared with us. Please use the to register correctly.
In the Sharing Centre of your I’m Verified Wallet, it should also state the name of the organisation with whom the credentials are automatically shared.
If you have registered an account not using the unique URL, please contact Qualification Check applicant support for assistance as you will not be able to automatically share your verifications with King’s. If you cannot see King’s College London in your Sharing Centre then it is likely that you have registered with the incorrect URL.
When you sign up, an open application is created for you. You must complete any application questions, and then create a single submission of one or more verifications. All verifications to be included in the application must be submitted at once. Once the first submission of verifications is completed after the application questions, the application will close, and no further verifications can be added.
If you have not uploaded all necessary qualifications to be checked, please contact the Qualification Check team through the application support email address in order to re-open the application so further verifications can be added.
If you are applying to a undergraduate English language entry requirements course, please ensure you only submit your higher education qualification(s) for verification. You do not need to verify your High School documents/diploma.
As part of your application, King’s College London must confirm your identity and validate your Secure English Language Test (SELT) results. This is important both for admissions decisions and for meeting UK immigration and compliance requirements. King’s uses Qualification Check to securely verify your ID document and English language proficiency test directly with the relevant providers. There is no cost to you, and your details are only used to complete these checks and to support the assessment of your application.

You will now be required to complete your ID check. To do this, first click on the "Identity" line on your list of verifications requested. Next, use your mobile device to scan the QR code to start your ID check, and follow the step-by-step instructions to upload a copy of your passport and complete the biometric likeness and liveness check.
Qualification Check will verify your English language proficiency test directly with the awarding Examination Board. This may take up to two days.
Your ID check can take up to 2 hours to give a result.
Once your English language proficiency test and ID have been verified you will receive an email to notify you.

An ID check typically fails if the photo of your ID was obstructed by fingers, glare, etc. Alternatively, your liveness and likeness check may not have been able to match your face to your ID due to factors like insufficient lighting. No, you will not need your certificate. The name of the test provider and test reference number will suffice.
Yes, upload a copy of your results and send them to the Admissions team via your King’s Apply Account. They will be able to confirm if the test results meet the entry requirements for the programme you have applied for. If the results meet the entry requirements, you will be directed to complete the verification.
If you send the results to Qualification Check and they are returned as verified, but they do not meet the entry requirements, you will be asked to complete another test.
If your SELT certificate has expired, we are unable to verify it.

King’s College London needs to verify your qualification, your identity, and your English language test results together. The service allows you to complete all three checks in one place through Qualification Check. There is no cost to you, and your information is used only to carry out these checks and share the results securely with King’s.
Please note: Depending on the stage you are at in the admissions process, we understand that you may not yet have both your English language proficiency test and your qualification ready to be verified. Notification emails are sent to you when a check is resolved. This email is by default sent to the person/email address who submits the verification.
All applicants register with an email address, which is used as the username. All verifications submitted and credit bought are linked to their account by username, i.e., email address. Users cannot change their username/email address and would instead have to register again with the new email address.
