This programme is funded by Health Education England and delivered in collaboration with the Medical Schools Council.
In addition to the conference, teachers and advisors are invited to follow-on events. In 2022 & 2023, these focused on other allied healthcare professions and the admissions process.
Teaching staff from non-selective state schools and colleges across England. Applicants outside of London and from areas with limited university outreach engagement are prioritised.
We encourage applications from schools located in disadvantaged communities (for example, POLAR4 quintiles 1&2, Acorn groups L-Q, and IMD quintiles 1&2) and who’ve achieved below the national average Attainment 8 and Progress 8 scores at GCSE.
The main conference will take place at two times on Thursday 2nd May (with the same content). The programme is led this year by Queen Mary, University of London. You can apply via their webpage here.
If you are an interested teacher or careers advisor, please contact Jake Featherstone (jake.featherstone@kcl.ac.uk), Senior Widening Participation Officer (Outreach for Medicine & Dentistry).
