Teaching & Modules
Teaching methods - what to expect
The course is delivered through lectures, seminars and practical laboratory work. The rest of your time will be spent on self-study, including reading, research and writing assignments.
We use a range of delivery methods informed by best practice that ensure you have a rich, exciting experience from day one.
This course is primarily taught at the Guy’s and Waterloo Campuses of King’s College London, both on the south bank of the Thames, putting you at the heart of everything London has to offer in terms of academic resources plus social and entertainment attractions.
Course Structure
Courses are divided into modules and each module has a designated number of credits depending upon the workload involved. Nominally, one credit equates to 10 hours of study. During a 3-year BSc you will normally complete modules totaling 360 credits, 120 credits per year.
Your three-year BSc programme can be extended to four years by studying for either a full year abroad, or by completing an extra-mural year, both between Years 2 and 3.
