Teaching & Modules
Teaching methods - what to expect
We will use a delivery method that will ensure students have a rich, exciting experience from the start. Face to face teaching will be complemented and supported with innovative technology so that you also experience elements of digital learning and assessment.
Your performance will be assessed through a combination of coursework and written/practical examinations. Forms of assessment may typically include written reports, completion of practical activities, design projects, presentations, quizzes and examinations.
Typically, one credit equates to 10 hours of work, e.g. 150 hours work for a 15-credit module. These hours cover every aspect of the module: lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions, independent study, coursework and preparation for examinations.
At King’s, our academics are pushing the boundaries of engineering education by deconstructing traditional curricular silos, creating an interdisciplinary curriculum and themed learning journeys for our students across multiple years. We focus on technology-centric education, ensuring students have in-depth understanding technologies key to electronic engineering, such as semiconductors, hardware and computer architecture for AI, telecommunications, robotics and energy systems.
