Physics Careers
Our Physics graduates are in high demand because employers recognise the wide range of skills that they possess. We train physicists to be good problem solvers, to think logically and to apply mathematical and computational techniques to real problems.
King’s physics graduates can be found in a range of sectors including research, education, management, finance, medicine, tech, pharmaceuticals, and aerospace. This includes roles as consultants, accountants, research scientists, analysts, environmental chemists, and engineers for companies including JP Morgan, Sky, Pfizer, Accenture, Amazon Web Services (AWS) the UK Atomic Energy Authority, and British Airways.
A high number of our students also go on to further study in the Department, and world-leading universities including Imperial, Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard etc.
The Careers Service and the Department of Physics run a specifically tailored careers programme for Physics students, which includes skills sessions and visits from leading employers.
