Our graduates
A degree in Sport and Exercise Medical Sciences at King’s College London can prepare you for careers across sport and the health & fitness industry, healthcare, public health, research, and industry. You could work with elite athletes in performance and injury prevention, support patients through rehabilitation and clinical exercise, or help improve health and wellbeing through physical activity.
The programme develops transferable skills in research, data analysis, problem-solving and communication. You could apply these scientific and practical skills to careers in research and academia, including roles in universities and research institutions, or in teaching and science communication. Additionally, the degree provides an excellent foundation for further postgraduate study and professional training in areas such as physiotherapy, sports nutrition, dietetics, occupational therapy, clinical physiology or graduate entry medicine. You may also choose to specialise through postgraduate study in areas including rehabilitation, exercise medicine, public health or research.
Our alumni have progressed into diverse careers across health and fitness, healthcare, elite sport, education, research, technology, management and industry. Others have continued to postgraduate study, including MSc. and PhD programmes. Employers include the NHS, Fortius Clinic, IMG Academy and the Chartered Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences. Our graduates are also working internationally, reflecting the breadth and global reach of the opportunities available to Sport and Exercise Medical Sciences graduates.
